Introduction
Located in the heart of Taipei's agricultural Guandu Plain, the Jiuqiu Canal is an essential irrigation channel for the region. To address the issue of embankment collapse while considering environmental sustainability and ecological friendliness, U-shaped reinforced concrete was used to stabilize the slopes. From Jiuqiu Canal, one can see the overlapping peaks of the Datun Mountain range, Yangmingshan, and Shamao Mountain. The canal's water reflects the blue sky, and the paddy fields sway in the sunlight, while various birds can be seen soaring above—a rare sight within the city.
